The DeSaulnier Digest: August District Work Period
As I shared last week, August District Work Period has begun, kicking off over a month of town halls, office hours, and events across the East Bay. I am enjoying the chance to connect with many of you in our community, including at these upcoming town halls:
Tomorrow, August 6th, I am hosting a Women's Health Town Hall where I will be joined by a panel of medical experts to discuss protecting reproductive freedom and tackling the other health issues impacting women including breast cancer and heart disease. Although we have reached capacity at the venue and cannot accomodate additional in-person attendees, please join the town hall live on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/RepMarkDeSaulnier/.
On Wednesday, August 14th at 1:00 p.m., I will be hosting a virtual Gun Violence Prevention Town Hall with special guest Congressman Mike Thompson (CA-04), Chair of the House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, and panelists from the UC Davis Violence Prevention Research Program and Moms Demand Action. To join us on Zoom for this important conversation, RSVP by clicking here or on the flyer below. You will receive a Zoom link prior to the event.
For updates on additional town halls and events this month, stay tuned on our social media pages. I hope to see you at an event soon!
Sincerely,
Mark DeSaulnier
