Mark Presents Check to Contra Costa Fire Protection District
Congressman DeSaulnier presented a Community Project Funding check for nearly $2 million to Con Fire to replace and install equipment like backup generators at radio towers across CA-10 to ensure that in an emergency, first responders have access to a reliable communication network.
Congressman DeSaulnier Tours Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano
Mark visited the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano in Concord to tour their warehouse and volunteer center and to discuss how they are addressing the increased need for food assistance in our community, especially following the Republicans' drastic cuts to SNAP in the Big Ugly Bill.

Congressman DeSaulnier Authors Legislation to Support Cancer Survivors
As a cancer survivor himself, helping patients navigate their cancer diagnoses is personal for Mark. While cutting-edge treatments are boosting cancer survival rates, survivors are not always well equipped to deal with the mental, financial, and other challenges they face during and after treatment. Last week, Congressman DeSaulnier reintroduced the Cancer Care Planning and Communications Act (H.R. 10087) to help doctors develop treatment plans for cancer patients and survivors, which would in turn ensure that these individuals are better prepared for their future healthcare needs.
