The DeSaulnier Digest: Congressman DeSaulnier's Efforts to Aid Afghan Resettlement Efforts
As we celebrated Labor Day, I reflected on how essential the Labor Movement has been to our democracy by giving a voice to American workers & building the middle class. As a former labor union member and as a former small business owner, I have seen on both sides how important it is for workers to have a voice in their workplace. In this time of record-breaking inequality, we must continue our work.
House Democrats have been fighting for worker rights and, last March, passed the PRO Act to protect workers' right to unionize & negotiate for fair pay.
