The DeSaulnier Digest: Democrats United For the People
Early Saturday morning, I was proud to (finally) be sworn in as the Representative for California's 10th Congressional District following the election of House Speaker, which was significantly delayed by Republican disunity. I look forward to continuing to serve you in Congress.
While Republicans push an extreme agenda with their very first proposed bills attacking women's reproductive freedom and helping the uber wealthy avoid taxes, Democrats are united in defending civil liberties and lowering costs for working Americans. As Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffires said on the House Floor early Saturday morning, we "will never compromise our principles" and will always put the American people over politics.
Sincerely,
Mark DeSaulnier
Member of Congress
CALIFORNIA'S 10TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT
As you may know, every ten years, Congressional districts are redrawn based on the findings of the U.S. Census. For us, that means the district Congressman DeSaulnier represents was renumbered California's 10th Congressional District and the district moved westward and southward. As such, while our district no longer includes communities like Richmond and Pittsburg, Mark now represents more of Antioch along with Oakley, Brentwood, San Ramon and parts of Dublin.
We are excited to share that in addition to our Walnut Creek Office, we have opened an office in Antioch to ensure the needs of all constituents are met. Our office is located on the 2nd floor at 4703 Lone Tree Way. Please do not hesitate to visit us here or in Walnut Creek or contact us at (925) 933-2660 if we can be of assistance.

Following the final vote for House Speaker, Mark joined ABC7 News Bay Area to discuss why the chaos Republicans showed in choosing a Speaker and the concessions Kevin McCarthy gave to the extreme right to finally win is not a good sign for Republicans' ability to govern. Meanwhile, Democrats are united and eager to deliver for the American people and push back on the extreme MAGA agenda of the Republican Party. Tune in by clicking here or on the image below.

Mark Discusses Opportunities for Bipartisanship with Vox
With the far-Right having highjacked the Speaker election, Democrats stand ready and willing to work with reasonable partners in the Republican Party to ensure government remains open and functioning for the American people.
