The DeSaulnier Digest: District Updates
Thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law passed last year, communities across the country are able to strengthen and improve their roads and bridges. Here in the Bay Area, a $400 million investment from this bill is allowing us to ensure the Golden Gate Bridge is fortified to withstand the impacts of a major earthquake.
Today I joined Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Speaker Emeritus Nancy Pelosi, White House Infrastructure Coordinator Mitch Landrieu, and my Bay Area colleagues to celebrate this investment in an iconic landmark and critical piece of our region's infrastructure. I look forward to continuing to work with the Biden Administration to improve our nation's roads and bridges, create good-paying jobs, and ease commutes in the Bay Area through future investments.
Sincerely,
Mark DeSaulnier
Member of Congress
