The DeSaulnier Digest: Don't Forget to Vote on or Before November 5th!
It has been a busy few weeks in the district hearing from constituents, visiting local organizations and businesses, and hosting town halls.

Sincerely,
Mark DeSaulnier

LEGISLATIVE UPDATES
Congressman DeSaulnier Authors Bill to Protect Workers from Mass Layoffs
While big corporations rake in record profits, many of those companies see their employees and local communities as an afterthought rather than the key to their success. Unfortunately, in the Bay Area, we've seen this play out with layoffs in the tech industry and beyond. To help protect workers against unfair treatment, Congressman DeSaulnier authored the Justice for Local Communities and Workers Act (H.R. 9963), which would require companies thinking about big layoffs or closures to calculate and consider the impact these moves would have on workers and communities - and to pay their fair share if they choose to move forward.
