The DeSaulnier Digest: Fighting Back
The new Administration proposed an illegal federal funding freeze last week that would impact essential government programs ranging from Meals on Wheels to Head Start. Although it has been temporarily stopped by the courts, this funding freeze remains a threat to programs that serve the American people.
I visited a local Head Start campus in Concord to meet with administrators and teachers to hear firsthand how the Trump Administration's move to cut off federal funding would affect their ability to provide the quality early childhood education families in our community rely on. Our team has also been connecting with local government and nonprofit partners to learn how these executive actions would impact CA-10 and millions of people across the country.

Sincerely,
Mark DeSaulnier
Member of Congress
