The DeSaulnier Digest: Historic Infrastructure Bill Becomes Law!
Today I had the honor of attending the White House for the signing of the bipartisan Infrastructure and Jobs Act, a once-in-a-generation investment to create millions of good paying union jobs, repair our crumbling roads and bridges, improve public transit, provide high-speed internet to every American, deliver clean water for all families, and address climate change. In the Bay Area and Contra Costa, this bill will help us fund projects designed to decrease congestion, ease commutes, and reduce pollution through an expected $4.5 billion investment to upgrade our transit lanes, expand BART and bus services, and enhance sidewalks and bike lanes. This bill is a major victory for working families across the country and I am proud to have helped deliver these much-needed investments for our community.
Sincerely,
Mark DeSaulnier

CONTRA COSTA COMMEMORATES VETERANS DAY
As our community celebrated the men and women who have served our country, we were reminded that Veterans Day is more than an opportunity to thank veterans for their service. It's a chance to ensure every man and woman who has served has the support they deserve and need to live a happy, healthy, and full life. If you're a veteran living in Contra Costa and in need of resources, please contact us at (925) 933-2660. As always, we are so thankful to our dedicated Veterans Board that assists us with this important work.
Our office was proud to honor veterans at events in El Cerrito, Moraga, Antioch, Danville, Concord, Walnut Creek, and the Lamorinda community.
