Congressman DeSaulnier Opposes Giveaway to Fossil Fuel Companies
Last week, House Republicans advanced their number one legislative priority, the Polluters Over People Act (H.R. 1), a bill that would speed up the approval of new fossil fuel projects that could be harmful to the environment and gut protections for clean water. Congressman DeSaulnier spoke in opposition to the legislation and touted California's leadership on the issue of clean water and water conservation. Mark Highlights the Importance of Accommodating a Changing Workforce and Transit
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which passed with Congressman DeSaulnier's support, provided billions in funding for improvements to roadways and expansion of electric vehicles. At a recent hearing before the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, Congressman DeSaulnier highlighted the issues the Bay Area faces on the strategic roll out of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and how remote work can provide opportunities to reduce road congestion and increase innovation in other modes of transit.
