The DeSaulnier Digest: House Democrats Will Not Support Republican Spending Bill that Guts Americans’ Health Care
Dear |*Salutation*|:
I have been clear that I will not support a Republican spending bill that raises health care premiums for over 20 million Americans, paves the way for millions to be thrown off Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act, and gives a blank check to Donald Trump to continue his authoritarian rule.
Throughout this shutdown, House Democrats have worked tirelessly to convince Republicans to negotiate in good faith with us to come up with a bipartisan spending bill to reopen the government while safeguarding Americans’ heath care. Our calls have gone unanswered. I have heard time and again that affordability continues to be the top concern of families here in CA-10 and across the country. I will continue fighting to lower costs, protect health care, and preserve the rule of law.
Sincerely,
Mark DeSaulnier
