Congressman DeSaulnier Introduces Bill to Improve Safety in Air Travel
Near-miss aviation incidents, when an aircraft comes close to colliding with other aircraft on takeoff or landing, threaten the safety of Americans traveling by air. Congressman DeSaulnier introduced the Safe Landings Act (H.R. 6976), which would improve procedures that help avoid near-miss aircraft incidents. By eliminating gaps in air travel regulations before they lead to harm, this bill would keep America's aviation system the safest in the world.
