Congressman DeSaulnier Introduces Bill to Combat Public Health Crises
Every year, large corporations earn billions of dollars in profit selling products, like oil, tobacco, opioids, that harm our public health. To hold big companies accountable, Congressman DeSaulnier today introduced the National Public Health Act. This bill would require these companies to pay for the damage they are causing – either with financial restitution or by offsetting their negative impacts.
Rep. DeSaulnier's Clean Corridors Act Gains Endorsement from the Sustainable Energy and Environment Caucus
There are more than 1 million electric vehicles on the road today, yet charging infrastructure is still lacking. To address this issue, Congressman DeSaulnier authored the Clean Corridors Act(H.R. 2012), which would launch a federal program that would accelerate the expansion of electric vehicle charging infrastructure to help address climate change and modernize our country's infrastructure. This week, the Clean Corridors Act earned the endorsement of the Sustainable Energy and Environment Caucus (SEEC), a Congressional group dedicated to tackling the challenge of climate change through sustainable policies and initiatives.
