The DeSaulnier Digest: Mark Advances $35 Million for Local Community Projects

June 2, 2025
DeSaulnier Digest

I am proud to share that my office has advanced more than $35 million in funding for projects that would directly benefit communities in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties. These 15 projects will make our roads safer and more efficient, improve outdoor spaces, provide cost-savings and environmental benefits through sustainability, and bolster protection from crime and national disasters.

I am committed to shepherding these requests through the legislative process and delivering this funding back to our communities.

Sincerely,

Mark DeSaulnier
Member of Congress

Mark Holds Meetings with Constituents in Walnut Creek District Office
As a representative for CA-10 in the People's House, Congressman DeSaulnier regularly holds meetings with constituents to hear from them directly about the federal issues impacting their lives. Last week, Mark met with a group of physicians concerned for their patients with the proposed Medicaid cuts, sat down with a UCSF researcher to discuss the cancellation of hard-earned NIH grants to conduct life-saving cancer research, and spoke with a veteran about the disparities in veteran's benefits.

City of Dublin and Camp Parks Preserve Local Military History
Team DeSaulnier joined the Dublin City Council, Dublin Historical Society members, and Camp Parks leadership at a ceremony to commemorate the historic Camp Parks sign, which formerly stood at the gates to the Army training grounds. In the years since the facility opened in 1943, the old gate was boarded up, and the Camp Parks sign, which is one of the few surviving examples of World War II military architecture, no longer marked entrance to the site. Thanks to a collaboration between the City of Dublin and Camp Parks leadership, the sign will now be moved to the new entrance to once again greet those entering Camp Parks.
