The DeSaulnier Digest: Mark Votes Against Reckless Republican Spending Bill

November 17, 2025
DeSaulnier Digest

Last week, I voted against a Republican spending bill that will raise health care premiums for 20 million Americans and pave the way for millions more to lose their coverage. Since the beginning of the year, I have promised to stand up to Republicans' attacks on Americans' health care, and this vote was in alignment with that promise.

I continue to hear every day from people who are worried about how to get by and whether they will be able to afford quality health care for themselves and their families. I could not in good conscience support a bill that does nothing to make life better for these working families. I will continue to fight to lower costs, protect health care, and preserve the rule of law.

Sincerely,

Mark DeSaulnier
