DeSaulnier Authors Bill Promoting International Worker Rights
For over 70 years, the Bureau of International Labor Affairs has promoted a fair global playing field for workers and businesses in the United States and around the world by enforcing trade commitments, strengthening international labor standards, and fighting against child labor, forced labor, and human trafficking. The Bureau of International Labor Affairs Authorization Act (H.R. 6517) would make necessary legislative changes to officially establish ILAB within the Department of Labor and authorize it to carry out its important work, which is essential to the wellbeing of international and domestic workers.
