The DeSaulnier Digest: Republican Majority Unable to Govern Due to Extremism

June 12, 2023
DeSaulnier Digest

Last week, a group of extreme, MAGA Republicans brought business in the House to a halt. Frustrated by Speaker McCarthy's deal with President Biden to raise the debt limit, these Members refused to vote on any legislation their party brought to the Floor.

In the meantime, House Democrats are committed to continuing our work to advance policies that benefit the American people.

Sincerely,

Mark DeSaulnier
Member of Congress

IN COMMITTEE

Last week Congressman DeSaulnier participated in a hearing with the House Committee on Education and the Workforce with Acting Secretary of Labor Julie Su. DeSaulnier highlighted Su's experience and success both as California Secretary of Labor and now in the Administration. He also called for her swift confirmation.
