COMMITTEE ACTION

Last week, the House was hard at work finalizing the coronavirus relief package through a long series of committee hearings. In total, Congressman DeSaulnier spent over 31 hours over three days debating the bill and successfully fighting back against attempts to weaken the relief package and delay support to American families.

Supporting the Minimum Wage

In the House Committee on Education and Labor, one of the Congressman’s top priorities is helping workers across the country earn a livable wage like California has done. As a former small business owner and a longtime labor advocate, Congressman DeSaulnier fought back against claims that raising the federal minimum wage would be detrimental for our workers and business owners. IN THE NEWS

Congressman DeSaulnier joined Phil Matier and Liz Kreutz of ABC7 to discuss the impeachment trial, Senate Republicans’ shameful acquittal of ex-President Trump, and what comes next as House Democrats continue their efforts to get coronavirus relief to the American people. Mark also spoke with ABC7 News about how evidence presented at the impeachment trial has revealed just how close we came to losing American democracy at the hands of ex-President Trump. Hear more of his thoughts by clicking here or on the image below.
