Mark Discusses Importance of Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act
The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, passed into law almost a year ago, will help make long overdue improvements in our state's infrastructure and generate millions of good-paying jobs. Congressman DeSaulnier had the honor of sharing how these investments will have a positive impact in the Bay Area as the keynote speaker at American Public Works Association (APWA) Northern California's 75th Anniversary Gala.

COMMUNITY UPDATES
Contra Costa to Receive $1.5 Million for Violence Prevention Efforts
The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced that it will award $1.5 million to Contra Costa Health to aid in the County’s efforts to reduce violence and improve public health strategies. This funding will help in the development of social-emotional learning programs for at-risk youth, fostering career development opportunities, and facilitating conversations between community stakeholders, law enforcement, and local organizations. By implementing evidence-based approaches to violence prevention, Contra Costa is taking steps to address inequities in our county and save lives. 23rd Annual Shoreline and Bay Yacht Tour
Our office participated in the 23rd Annual Shoreline and Bay Yacht Tour Friday. It was a pleasure to connect with local business and industry leaders for a conversation on how we can work together to strengthen our regional economy.
