District Work Period in Review

September 9, 2019
DeSaulnier Digest

As Congress returns to Washington this week, we want to take a moment to look back on what has been another productive district work period. Meeting with constituents is one of the most enjoyable parts of serving Contra Costa County, and over the last six weeks, we have visited each corner of our district. Thank you to all who came to a town hall or office hours to share your opinion. It is a privilege to serve you.

Sincerely,
Signature
Mark DeSaulnier
Member of Congress

AT A GLANCE

In this week's Digest, you will find information on Congressman DeSaulnier's:

#SAVEISABEL

Our office continues to fight to save Isabel Bueso, a 24 year-old Concord resident who faces deportation due to an abrupt and unexplained change in policy by the Trump Administration. Isabel will testify before the House Committee on Oversight and Reform this week about how her need for medical care requires her to stay in the United States and we will continue to work to help her and other immigrants affected by the Trump Administration's policy.

SAFE LANDINGS ACT

Joined by Captain "Sully" Sullenberger and the Coalition of Airline Pilots Associations (CAPA), we unveiled the Safe Landings Act, a bill that would make proactive improvements to our aviation system.
