Congressman DeSaulnier Calls on Attorney General Barr to Resign
May 1, 2019
Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11) released the following statement after Attorney General William Barr testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee and cancelled tomorrow's testimony before the House Judiciary Committee.
"Attorney General Barr should immediately resign. It is not his job to impede transmission of information from the Special Counsel to the American people. He is the people's attorney, not the President's and he must provide truthful information to Congress and the country. This is the most unethical behavior by an Attorney General since Attorney General John Mitchell was sentenced to prison during Watergate."
