Congressman DeSaulnier to Host Town Hall on Addressing the Growing Behavioral and Mental Health Crisis
Walnut Creek, CA – Today, Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11) announced he will host a town hall tomorrow, August 17th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. PT on addressing the growing behavioral and mental health crisis as the pandemic and the Olympics have shone a spotlight on this issue. The event will be held live on Zoom and on Congressman DeSaulnier's Facebook page (facebook.com/repmarkdesaulnier).
Congressman DeSaulnier will be joined by the following special guest experts in the field to discuss mental health issues and available support, including:
- Dr. Suzanne Tavano, Director of Contra Costa Behavioral Health Services
- Dr. Elissa Epel, Professor of Psychiatry at UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences
This will be Congressman DeSaulnier's 135th town hall and mobile district office hour since coming to Congress. Contra Costa residents will have an opportunity to submit questions before the town hall and live throughout the event.
