Congressman DeSaulnier to Host Town Hall on Refinery Safety in Martinez
Walnut Creek, CA – Today, Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-10) announced he will host an in-person town hall on refinery safety on Thursday, October 8th from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. in Martinez. Following recent safety incidents at multiple local refineries and the Trump Administration’s attempts to undermine federal oversight of these facilities, the Congressman, a former air regulator, will share an update on his work in Congress to ensure refinery safety for employees and residents. Congressman DeSaulnier will also be joined by two expert special guests from Contra Costa Health’s Hazardous Materials division and the Bay Area Air District, who will also take questions.
