Congressman DeSaulnier to Host Town Hall on Safety at Local Refineries

Walnut Creek, CA – Today, Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-10) announced he will host an in-person town hall on safety at local refineries on Monday, March 25^th from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. With recent safety incidents leading to investigations at two separate Martinez refineries, the Congressman is bringing the community together to discuss his efforts to protect the environment and quality of life here in the Bay Area, his former work as an air regulator, and hear directly from the Martinez community. He will be joined by experts to discuss the recent refinery incidents, including representatives from Contra Costa Health, Bay Area Air Quality Management District, and the Chemical Safety Board.

The event will be held in the multipurpose room at John Muir Elementary School and will be streamed live on Congressman DeSaulnier’s Facebook page (facebook.com/repmarkdesaulnier).
