Congressman DeSaulnier to Host Women’s Rights as Human Rights Town Hall
Walnut Creek, CA – Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11) will host a virtual town hall Tuesday, March 15th at 7:00 p.m. PT to recognize the progress made for women's rights and the battles ahead to protect reproductive freedom, secure pay equity, and address the cost of child care. The event will be held on Zoom and will be streamed live on Representative DeSaulnier's Facebook page (facebook.com/repmarkdesaulnier).
With the Supreme Court set to decide on the future of abortion access this summer and women being disproportionately impacted by the pandemic, this town hall will offer the opportunity for participants to hear what Congress is working on and ask questions about how they might be impacted. Congressman DeSaulnier will be joined by University of California San Francisco Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences and author of the Turnaway Study, Dr. Diana Greene Foster and Sonoma State University Assistant Professor of Sociology, Dr. Allison Ford.
