Congressman DeSaulnier Postpones March 18th Town Hall Following New Contra Costa Health Recommendations
Walnut Creek, CA – Today, Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11) announced that the town hall meeting on preventing gun violence, originally scheduled for March 18th at Diablo Valley College, has been postponed. The move comes in response to the guidance of Contra Costa Health Services, which has recommended that Contra Costa residents avoid mass gatherings in an attempt to reduce the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and Contra Costa County declaring a state of emergency.
The town hall, which was to feature Contra Costa County District Attorney Diana Becton, will be rescheduled for a date to be determined. For updated information on COVID-19 in Contra Costa, visit the Contra Costa Health Services website (cchealth.org) or follow them on social media (@CoCoHealth).
