Last Thursday, the House voted to move into the next phase of our impeachment inquiry. The resolution, which passed without a single Republican Member in support, outlines the rights of Republican Members and the President or his attorney to be active participants in the process. It also empowers the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Committee on the Judiciary to hold open impeachment hearings so that the public can watch the process unfold with their own eyes.

Last Thursday, October 17th, our nation and Congress suffered a great loss with the passing of House Oversight and Reform Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings. He was a steadfast force for good and had a knack for bringing both sides together. Chairman Cummings was a true statesman and defender of justice, who will be remembered for his goodness, decency, and integrity.

The town hall will explore the most pressing issues facing women today, like achieving gender and economic equity in the workplace and society, overcoming barriers to women's health care, and increasing the representation of women in government.
