Happy August! This month, while Congress is out of session, I am looking forward to connecting with East Bay residents. I am excited to share another opportunity to make your voice heard at our town hall in Antioch on Tuesday, August 11th from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m., where I will share updates on my work to represent you in Congress and take your questions.
Last week, the House of Representatives began its customary summer District Work Period, meaning that the House is out of session and I will be hard at work here in the East Bay meeting with local organizations, and most importantly, connecting with you.
In my conversations with CA-10 residents and business owners, I have heard again and again about the challenge of healthcare affordability, which is being exacerbated by Republicans' cuts to care in the Big Ugly Bill. That's why I am hosting a virtual town hall TODAY at 4:30 p.m. to discuss the problem here in Contra Costa and nationwide and the path forward. I will be joined by expert special guests from Protect Our Care and Contra Costa Health, and we look forward to taking your questions.

Let me be the first to wish you a happy early Independence Day! We're just over a week away from ourin-person town hall in Brentwood on Tuesday, July 7th at 6:30 p.m. marking the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
As we approach mid-year, I am looking back on a packed six months in the East Bay and at the US Capitol. Already this year, I have hosted 10 town halls, and across CA-10, my team and I have attended 157 community events.
