Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (D-CA-10) and Senators Alex Padilla (D-CA) and Adam Schiff (D-CA) sent a letter to the Acting Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service expressing concern about the Post-of-Duty (POD) closure of the Walnut Creek Taxpayer Assistance Center (TAC) and strong opposition to further closures of TACs in the Bay Area.

As we enter week three of the Republican government shutdown, I am hosting a virtual Hands Off Our Health Care Town Hall tomorrow at 5:30 p.mto discuss the Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits that will expire if Republicans don't act to extend them. Millions of Americans use the ACA for quality health care for themselves and their families, but without action, ACA insurance premiums are set to rise 114% on average.
