Like many of you, I have been appalled by the violence and terror unleashed in our cities at the hands of ICE and deeply concerned by the Trump Administration's anti-immigrant policies. I have called for the abolition of ICE, worked to defend immigrants here in CA-10, and been in frequent communication with the immigrant-serving organizations in our community.

In just the first three months of 2026, our team has been busy hosting events and connecting with members of our community. As we wrap up the first quarter of the year, I am proud that we have already hosted 4 town halls and attended 60 events around the East Bay, despite a busy legislative calendar that kept me largely on Captiol Hill. Looking ahead to the next months, we have more on the docket!

Last week on Capitol Hill, I joined my fellow Democrats in voting for a War Powers Resolution, which would put a stop to Trump's illegal war in Iran. The President has offered no coherent strategy, goals, or endgame for this war, which has already claimed the lives of seven American servicemembers. I have heard consistent and resounding opposition to this war from members of our community and it is clear Americans do not want another regime-change war in the Middle East.

Happy Women's History Month! 

One way to celebrate this month is by joining our upcoming Town Hall on Advancing Women's Equality on Thursday, March 12th in Orinda. From 6:30 - 7:30 p.m., I will be joined by special guests from First 5 Contra Costa and the League of Women Voters to discuss a host of issues, including protecting women's civil liberties and improving quality of life. As always, we look forward to taking your questions.
