I'm looking forward to our virtual town hall with California Attorney General Rob Bonta tomorrow beginning at 5:45 p.m. on Zoom and YouTube. AG Bonta has been a leader in the legal fight against the Trump Administration's unconstitutional and harmful policies. We will provide updates on the latest from the courts and Congress and take your questions.
This week marks the beginning of a month-long district work period where I will be here in CA-10 hosting town halls, meeting with constituents, and attending community events. I'm excited to announce our first town hall of the month will be a virtual town hall with special guest California Attorney General Rob Bonta on Tuesday, August 5th at 5:45 p.m.
As you may have heard, Republicans recently passed a disastrous budget bill that cuts critical services for millions of Americans to give a tax break to the ultrawealthy. One piece that has largely been overlooked would undermine our efforts to address climate change by eliminating investments in clean energy infrastructure, which would also raise energy costs across the country and here in CA-10.
To discuss my efforts in Congress to fight back against Trump Administration policies that are undermining progress in the fight against climate change, like the recently passed Republican budget bill that includes provisions that will eliminate investments in clean energy infrastructure, I am hosting an outdoor Environmental Town Hall and Resource Fair on Saturday, July 26th in Oakley.
Last week, all but 2 House Republicans voted to pass a budget bill that strips health care and food assistance from millions of Americans in order to give a huge tax cut to millionaires and billionaires. It is hard to overstate how devastating this piece of legislation is for American families.
