Despite 29 straight hours of Democratic opposition and the more than 500 amendments that we introduced, my Republican colleagues recklessly voted last week to take away health care for nearly 14 million Americans through cuts to Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act and to slash food assistance for families through cuts to SNAP.

As we wrap up another busy District Work Period, I am excited to announce another town hall later this week in Oakley.
As I continue my work in the East Bay this month, I am hosting another town hall this Wednesday, April 23rd at 6:30 p.m. in Lafayette to provide an update on my work in Congress to hold the Administration accountable and to stand up for the American people.
Don’t forget to RSVP for our Immigration Town Hall and Resource Fair on Wednesday, April 16th in Danville. Starting at 5:30 p.m., local organizations will be available to share resources on navigating the immigration process, and I will kick off the town hall portion of the event at 6:30 p.m.
