As we wrap up another busy District Work Period, I am excited to announce another town hall later this week in Oakley.
As we continue to see the effects of climate change here in California, from more devastating wildfires to more extreme temperatures, the Trump Administration's policies are undermining the tools we have to address this crisis, including rolling back environmental protections and withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement.
As I continue my work in the East Bay this month, I am hosting another town hall this Wednesday, April 23rd at 6:30 p.m. in Lafayette to provide an update on my work in Congress to hold the Administration accountable and to stand up for the American people. I have heard from thousands of constituents about your growing fear and anger at the actions of President Trump, and this event will be an opportunity for me to address your questions.
Don’t forget to RSVP for our Immigration Town Hall and Resource Fair on Wednesday, April 16th in Danville. Starting at 5:30 p.m., local organizations will be available to share resources on navigating the immigration process, and I will kick off the town hall portion of the event at 6:30 p.m. where I will take your questions.

Last week, I went over to the Senate Floor to stand in solidarity with New Jersey Senator Cory Booker as he called attention to the illegal actions of the Trump Administration as it attempts to cut programs Americans rely on like health care and Social Security in the longest speech in Senate history. For over 25 hours, the Senator inspired our nation and drove home the point that we are not backing down.
