IMPEACHMENT UPDATE
Last week, we held our 100th town hall or mobile district office hour since coming to Congress. The engagement at each of these events has been representative of the enthusiasm and engagement of our district. I am so proud to represent you in Congress!
As I return to Washington this week, we will continue our work on pressing issues facing the country and begin the public phase of the impeachment inquiry into President Trump. As this historic process continues, please know that I will keep your views and comments in mind.
Last Thursday, the House voted to move into the next phase of our impeachment inquiry. The resolution, which passed without a single Republican Member in support, outlines the rights of Republican Members and the President or his attorney to be active participants in the process. It also empowers the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Committee on the Judiciary to hold open impeachment hearings so that the public can watch the process unfold with their own eyes.
