As we celebrated Labor Day, I reflected on how essential the Labor Movement has been to our democracy by giving a voice to American workers & building the middle class. As a former labor union member and as a former small business owner, I have seen on both sides how important it is for workers to have a voice in their workplace. In this time of record-breaking inequality, we must continue our work.
With the Biden Administration having concluded the evacuation from Afghanistan, our office remains deeply concered about the safety and security of Americans on the ground and our Afghan partners and stands ready to help however we can.
