To address the public health crisis of gun violence in the United States, I hosted a town hall this week with special guests from U.C. Davis's Violence Prevention Research Program and Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence. Join us for a town hall on October 26th at 2:30 p.m. about local efforts that have proven successful in reducing gun violence in California and Contra Costa County, and how we can help to implement these policies nationwide. Special guests from the University of California Davis's Violence Prevention Research Program and Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence will be on hand, too. During the event, I'll also talk about my "Not Here" initiative, which would help use Contra Costa as a model for gun violence reduction across the country.
